The APM 130-1200 Super ED Triplet was made as a direct result of customer requests for a Super Planetary Apo in the 5" size with unbeatable optical quality and colour correction for use at extreme magnifications. There is no similar quality Telescope in the 5" range on the market..


The combination of a long 1200mm focal length and 130mm aperture allow for not only outstanding colour correction, but also mean the overall weight of this triplet starts at around 8kg with the smallest focuser. This allows for easy transportation and use on mounts with medium load capacities. The colour correction offered by this scope allows for magnifications to be used well beyond the quoted maximum of 260x.


Imaging accessories for the 130-1200 include a 2.5” field flattener and a special medium format flattener both of which maintain focal length. There is also a dedicated Massimo Riccardi designed APM Reducer. This changes focal length by a factor of x 0.75, resulting in a 900mm focal length and fast f6.9 aperture.


Focuser options for the 130-1200 are the APM 2.5” or 3” Rack and Pinion 360 Degree focusers, Alternatively we can offer the Starlight Instruments 3” and 3.5” Feathertouch focusers


In brief the 130-1200 offers superb performance and long focal length in a manageable low weight, making it easy to transport and use with lighter mounts.
