We look forward to another Astrofest, now only weeks away! We aim to have more mouthwatering ISTAR refractors on display as well as the latest re-engineered version of our own period-style British-made instrument, Classic II .
Further celebrating fine British technology, we again have Astromount and AWR Technology products on our stand, and are pleased to welcome Elliot Instruments for the first time - introducing the CCDSPEC integrating CCD imaging spectrograph.
It was rewarding to see the amount of interest that our stand generated at last year's Astrofest event, and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to inspect telescopes and components that were on display and available in the UK for the first time.
Indeed, many commented that our telescopes - especially the Peak 2 Valley Classic refractor - were the most eye-catching at the show.
During a brief chat with Sir Patrick Moore, he told me that he thought our refractors were rather splendid and that it was good to see examples of British craftmanship.
In addition, the outstanding build quality of the Istar Optical telescopes specifically drew very favourable reaction - especially in view of the very competitive price of these superb refractors, all of which come with interferometer test reports as standard.
